What I Do

Professionally, I’m a research-based designer. That means I’m a storyteller first and a designer second. As a designer, I craft concepts, brand identities, editorial spreads, fashions, names, products, publications, typefaces, and more. As a person, I protect land, cloud-watch, collect rocks, write poems, and make jewelry. As an artist, I experiment with lettering and illustration. I work in 2D and 3D. I work with changemakers, culture-shifters, cultural institutions, progressive publishers, companies trying to do good, and all-around do-gooders. ¶

What I Want

I want to make work that makes the world better. I want to make work that lasts. I want to design a set of universal quotation marks, redesign the Juneteenth flag, and run Vocal Type for the rest of my life.
